Granite Falls takes the mountain rain and sits on ground that falls away toward the river and the falls. Steep sides of lots are normal. Water concentrates, finds the weak spot in a bank, and leaves a rill where the lawn used to be. Foothill cleanups are limbs, leaners, and brush from the timber, not a few bags of leaves. The trailer and the saw are the job.

Storm wood and the edge of the clearing
We clear what fell, cut what is about to fall on the drive or the roof, and open the paths. Slash gets hauled or bucked, not left in a berm that sheds water at the foundation.
A full lot-clear is a different machine and a different bid. If you want daylight through a half-acre of alder, say so. We will not discover that at the end of a “spring cleanup” price.
The ground in Granite Falls
Properties on the edge of town back into fir and alder. The lawn, if there is one, is a cleared bench. The rest is slope, stump, and shade. We get called when a bank has started to slump after a wet winter, or when a path down to the lower yard has turned into a creek.
Rock walls and a drain at the top of the slope do more than plants will. Beauty bark in the deep shade keeps the weeds down and the mud off the house, but it will not hold a bank by itself. Tree work is practical: limbs over the roof, and sightlines where the forest is closing the drive. Aerator and seed belong on the flat piece only. Treating the whole hillside like a turf job is how you waste a season.
How we do the work
A cleanup is debris gone, beds redefined, and the hazards cut. We haul. A pile at the curb that sits for a month is not a finish. Brush, rotten wood, the fallen fence panel, the blackberries that took the side yard: that is the work.
We do not “clean” a yard by blowing leaves into the beds and covering them with a thin coat of bark. If bark is part of the visit, the bed is weeded first. If it is not in the bid, we do not fake it.
The walk-through is the scope. A bigger pile, a surprise blackberry thicket, or a tree that needs a climber changes the day, and we say that before we start rather than after the trailer is full.

Leaves
Off the lawn, off the beds you care about, off the walks. Into the trailer. A wooded corner can keep its duff. Blowing every leaf out of a natural area is busywork, and we will not pretend it is horticulture.
Hauling
Included when we said it was included. Green waste, rotten fence boards, the bagged pile you already made. We do not take household trash, paint, or anything we cannot legally dump as yard waste. Ask before you add a mystery pile.
Blackberries
Cut to the ground and hauled, with the understanding they return from the roots. A cleanup is not eradication. A follow-up, or a dig-out if the patch is small, is how you actually get rid of them. We will say which you bought.
