What We Offer

Why Choose Sod Installation?

Sod often surpasses other methods like seeding or hydroseeding, making it the most popular choice for homeowners who want fast, reliable results.

Instant Green Lawn

Instant Green Lawn

Unlike seed, which can take weeks to germinate and months to fully establish, sod provides a lush, usable lawn from the very first day of installation.

Erosion Control

Erosion Control

The established root system in sod immediately stabilizes soil, preventing erosion on slopes or areas with heavy rainfall — common throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Denser, More Uniform Lawn

Denser, More Uniform Lawn

Professional sod has been cultivated for 1–2 growing seasons, giving you a denser and more even lawn than you'd achieve by seeding from scratch.

Year-Round Installation

Year-Round Installation

Sod can be installed in any season the ground isn't frozen, giving you flexibility that seeding — which requires specific temperature windows — cannot always offer.

Faster Enjoyment

Faster Enjoyment

Your new sod lawn will be fully ready for foot traffic within 2–4 weeks of installation, compared to 2–3 months minimum for a seeded lawn.

Step By Step

Our Sod Installation Process

A beautiful sod lawn starts with proper preparation — our installation process ensures your new grass roots deeply and thrives for years.

1

Step 01

Site Assessment & Measurement

We visit your property to assess the soil condition, slope, sun exposure, and drainage to determine exactly how much sod is needed and what site preparation is required.

2

Step 02

Old Lawn Removal

We remove existing grass, weeds, and debris using a sod cutter and haul everything away, leaving a clean slate for your new installation.

3

Step 03

Soil Preparation & Grading

We till and grade the soil to create proper slope for water runoff, then amend it with topsoil and starter fertilizer to give your new sod the best possible foundation.

4

Step 04

Fresh Sod Installation

We source freshly cut sod from local farms and install it in a staggered brick-lay pattern, fitting pieces tightly together and cutting custom shapes around obstacles.

5

Step 05

Rolling & Watering

After laying all the sod, we roll the entire lawn to press roots firmly into the soil and perform an initial deep watering — then walk you through the establishment watering schedule.

Our Promise

Sod Care After Installation

Proper aftercare in the first 2–4 weeks is critical to the success of your new sod — here's what you need to know to keep it thriving.

First Week Watering

Water newly installed sod twice daily (morning and evening) to keep it consistently moist and encourage root contact with the soil.

Week 2–4 Watering

Gradually reduce watering frequency to once daily, then every other day as roots establish and the sod begins knitting into the soil.

First Mowing

Wait until sod is firmly rooted (typically 10–14 days) before the first mow, keeping the blade height high (3–4 inches) to avoid stress.

Avoid Heavy Traffic

Stay off new sod as much as possible for the first 2–3 weeks to allow the delicate root system to firmly anchor without disruption.

Fertilize at 6 Weeks

Apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer 4–6 weeks after installation to support continued root development and vibrant green color.

Could not be Happier

I've tried sooooo many landscapers in my area and was always met with poor service or teams that were unreliable. This all changed when I found Camberos Landscaping. I really, truly could not be happier. They were diligent, flexible to schedule, and on the day of service worked so efficiently with great results.
